may leave the Polish national team before the March play-offs. So says Globo Esporte, who informs that the Portuguese on Saturday in Lisbon has a scheduled meeting with. According to the knowledge from the staff’s environment, however, there is no topic. And there are no such fears that the Polish Football Association in a hurry before the March play-offs will have to look for a new manager. – We talked recently with coach Sousa about play-offs, for us the situation is simple. He was recently in Poland and said nothing about the fact that he was going somewhere else, we only talked about preparations for the play-offs – said in an interview with the PZPN spokesman and team manager of the national team, Jakub Kwiatkowski.

Sousa meets Kulesza

. The selector only flew in for a day. First of all, the morning conversation with the president, which was also attended by the secretary general Ɓukasz Wachowski, director Marcin Dorna, spokesman of the Polish Football Association Jakub Kwiatkowski, and director of the management office Piotr Szefer.

The conversation lasted an hour and a half and was dominated by two topics – the analysis of the match against Hungary, as well as the March play-offs for the Qatar World Cup. It ran in a good atmosphere. During the conversation, it was decided to close the issue of the elimination and focus on the play-offs. It cannot be ruled out, however, that it would not be so nice if, after losing the seed, the Poles were not so lucky in drawing the play-off brackets, where Sousa ended up with Russia, and later in the case of Sweden – Czech Republic winning the match.

Sousa was asked at the Tuesday meeting to draw up and present to the union a “wish list”. So that he could prepare the team for the March World Cup matches in the best possible way. Only that right away – as Globo Esporte writes – may turn out to be out of date, because Sousa is “positive about working in Flamengo”.

The Brazilian media praise the coach of the Polish national team and write that he was given good recommendations in Flamengo. “On a daily basis, Sousa is seen as a professional who cares about good relations. In addition, he is a charismatic and offensive coach who works in the Polish national team with two assistants, a goalkeeping coach, two specialists in physical preparation and an analyst.”

Sousa’s contract with the team is valid until March, but in the event of promotion to the World Cup, it is to be automatically extended until the end of 2022.
