Boxer Beterbiev defeated Callum Smith by knockout and defended three championship titles
Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev defeated Briton Callum Smith. The results are available on the World Boxing Council (WBC) website.
The fight took place in Quebec, Canada, and ended in the seventh round with a technical knockout. The 38-year-old athlete, who competed under the Canadian flag, defended three WBC, World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight titles.
On December 30, 2023, it became known about the possibility of a fight between Beterbiev and Russian Artur Bivol. It was noted that Beteribev would sign the contract if he defeated Smith.
On January 29, Beterbiev fought with Briton Anthony Yarde and won by technical knockout in the eighth round. He also defended three world titles back then. In total, the Russian won 20 victories in his career and did not suffer a single defeat.
