Former football player Andrei Tikhonov said that he is not ready to lead Spartak
The legend of Moscow Spartak Andrei Tikhonov assessed the likelihood of leading the team. His words are quoted by Bookmakers Rating.
The former football player said he was not ready for such responsibility. “You have to be worthy to work at Spartak,” Tikhonov considered.
On January 10, Tikhonov took charge of the First League club “Yenisei”. He already worked for the team in the 2016/2017 season, under his leadership the team became third in the Football National League (FNL).
Tikhonov played for Spartak as a player from 1992 to 2000 and was the team captain. The midfielder also played for Krylia Sovetov Samara, Khimki near Moscow, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Lokomotiv Astana. In 2011, Tikhonov returned to Spartak as a player-coach and played one match for the team.
