Osasuna suffers to beat Deportivo and qualifies for the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey

Osasuna beat Deportivo de La Coruña by 1-2 this Thursday in Riazor the match of the second round of the Copa del Rey Y sealed his qualification for the round of 32.

The rojillos took possession of the ball in the first minutes, but Deportivo did not give up the attack. In the 23rd minute the Galician team went ahead with a goal scored by Carlos Doncel from a direct free kick (1-0). The Deportivo footballer scored a great goal.

It was difficult for the Navarrese team to overcome the local team, but just before reaching the break, Kike García tied the game (1-1, min. 48) after a corner.

Osasuna’s superiority was evident in the second half, although Deportivo held out against the visiting team until the 60th minute, even having a chance to score. However, at minute 64, Budimir put the 1-2 on the scoreboard; a shot from Kike García found the answer from goalkeeper Mackay, but his rejection was taken advantage of by Budimir to decide the tie.

Deportivo tried with three forwards on the pitch in the last moments, but was not able to put their rival in trouble.
