Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, who suspended her career, announced the resumption of training. The athlete spoke out on her Instagram account (the social network is banned in Russia; belongs to the company Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
According to the athlete, she has finished all the shows. “I’m starting to recover my triple axel. There was one not entirely successful attempt. But I still have five days to complete the triple axel. Believe in me,” Tuktamysheva noted.
Earlier, Tuktamysheva compared earnings from participating in competitions and in ice shows. She said that she gets no less in the show than if she had successfully performed in tournaments.
On October 22 last year, Tuktamysheva announced her decision to take a break from her sports career. The figure skater will miss the 2023/2024 season. She explained that she wants to spend more time with loved ones, develop, get enough sleep, relax and work on personal projects.
