Judge Naumov swore obscenely at Avangard coach Kravets in a KHL match
Referee Denis Naumov swore at the head coach of Omsk Avangard Mikhail Kravets during the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) match with Amur. A fragment of the broadcast was published by journalist Pavel Lysenkov in his Telegram channel.
“Shut your mouth,” Naumov addressed Kravets in an obscene manner, who had previously asked the referee a question. The footage shows that the referee’s answer surprised both the coach and the nearby hockey players.
In a post-match interview, Kravets said that he could not comment or criticize the work of the referee, since he did not have 300 thousand rubles to pay the fine. “Unfortunately, this man is my student, he played on my team, and I treated him quite well. Somewhere, probably, I didn’t let him play, and he’s still offended by me,” he added.
The match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of Avangard. The Omsk club ranks second in the Eastern Conference standings with 69 points. “Amur” from Khabarovsk is ninth with 50 points.
