Former football player Pavel Mamaev said that he did not create a brawl on the plane
Former Russian national team player Pavel Mamaev responded to rumors about a row on a Flydubai airline plane, which was flying from Moscow to Dubai. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“Did I scream and swear? Of course not, God forbid,” the athlete assured. He said that he calmly asked for the baby stroller to be returned because it was in his luggage. Mamaev emphasized that because of the scandal he would have ended up in the police station.
Earlier on January 10, it was reported that Mamaev and his family were supposed to fly to the UAE from Vnukovo, but due to a technical malfunction of the plane, the flight was postponed. The football player allegedly refused to leave the cabin until they gave him the baby stroller, swore loudly, using obscene language, and then left the plane.
34-year-old Mamaev, who retired in February 2023, is known for his performances for Torpedo, Rostov, Krasnodar, Khimki and CSKA, with whom he became the champion of Russia and won the National Cup three times. From 2010 to 2016, the athlete also played 15 matches for the Russian national team.
