Chimaev answered a question about the next fight

Fighter Khamzat Chimaev said that he was promised a title fight in the UFC

Mixed style fighter (MMA) representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Khamzat Chimaev answered a question about the next fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in an interview with the YouTube channel Mohammed Hijab.

Chimaev expressed confidence that he will fight for the title. “Sean Strickland has a good opponent in Dricus du Plessis. If he beats this guy, we’ll fight. The UFC promised me this fight, so now I’ll wait to see who wins and then take the belt,” he said.

On October 21, Chimaev defeated American Kamaru Usman at UFC 294. The fight ended in three rounds with the victory of the fighter of Chechen origin by majority decision of the judges.

In total, Chimaev spent 13 fights in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. Previously, the athlete played for Sweden, but now represents the UAE and the Grozny Akhmat team.
