Police have established that missing Barnaul basketball player Petukhov fell from a bridge
The police have revealed details of the disappearance of Russian youth basketball champion Anton Petukhov. They appeared in the VKontakte group of the Krasnoyarsk search and rescue team “Search for Missing Children.”
“During a set of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers found from video recordings that the wanted young man fell into the Yenisei River from the Oktyabrsky Bridge,” the statement said. It is noted that rescuers and volunteers will continue to examine the bottom and surface of the reservoir.
Petukhov’s disappearance became known on January 3. It was reported that the 20-year-old basketball player of the Barnaul club left home on the night of December 30, after which he stopped communicating.
Petukhov moved to Barnaul in the summer of 2023. Before that, since 2020, he played for CSKA Moscow. As part of the capital’s club, the basketball player became the champion of the VTB United Youth League and the champion of the Junior Youth League championship in 2021.
