Iñaki Williams will travel on January 1, to concentrate with Ghana and start preparing for the African Cupso not will be able to play Athletic Club’s league match against Sevilla on Thursday at the Sánchez Pizjuán, as reported by the rojiblanco club.
The officially called African Cup of Nations (CAN), which in this 2024 edition is held in Ivory Coast, will start on January 13, and the next day, the 14th, the eldest of the Williams, if he plays, and Ghana will make their debut before Cape Verde.
The Bilbao club regrets that, “despite the efforts made by Athletic Club and the player himself so that he could be present in the LaLiga match against Sevilla on January 4, the Ghanaian federation has decided to have Iñaki Williams alongside the rest of the expedition from the first day of concentration”.
