Figure skater Kamila Valieva said that she rarely went to school
Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva spoke about studying at school. Her words are quoted by Woman Hit.
“I didn’t go to school often. The teachers sometimes made concessions, for which we thank them,” said the 17-year-old athlete. She said that she always liked mathematics, but she studied other subjects without pleasure. The figure skater emphasized that she wants to enter a sports university.
At the Russian Championship that ended in Chelyabinsk, Valieva took third place, scoring 237.99 points. Another student of coach Eteri Tutberidze, Adelia Petrosyan, became the winner, receiving 246.53 points.
The figure skater is the subject of a doping investigation. Traces of a prohibited drug were found in Valieva’s sample from December 2021. The final decision in the athlete’s case will be made in January 2024.
