Figure skater Alina Gorbacheva said that she did not know the meaning of the word “puberty”
Russian figure skater Alina Gorbacheva said that before this season she did not know the meaning of the word “puberty”. The 16-year-old athlete wrote about this in her Telegram channel.
“Before this season, I didn’t know what this word ‘puberty’ meant, which I so often heard adult figure skaters discussing,” Gorbacheva wrote.
The figure skater summed up the results of the last Russian Championship, where she took ninth place. “From this championship I want to leave only two things in my memory: quads, which finally began to be obtained easily and consistently, and enormous life experience. I want to forget the rest,” the athlete noted. According to Gorbacheva, the start was the most difficult in her career, and only her coaches know what it cost her to prepare for and participate in the tournament.
In August, Gorbacheva left the house of coach Sofia Fedchenko, with whom she lived. It was specified that on the day of her disappearance, the athlete had an argument with her coach. After that, she left the skating rink, leaving her skates there, went to the park and did not return home. The skater was later found unharmed.
Gorbacheva is the champion of Russia in women’s singles skating among juniors.
