Ralf Schumacher said that his brother Michael will not be able to live a full life
Ralf Schumacher assessed the likelihood of his older brother, seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher, returning to a full life. His words are quoted by Bild.
“This incident changed our family. I can say that his accident was also a very bad and difficult experience for me. Unfortunately, life is not always fair, and, unfortunately, there was some failure here too,” he said. Schumacher Jr. noted that, despite new opportunities in medicine, his brother will not be able to live a full life.
In the summer of 2022, Schumacher’s former manager Willi Weber criticized the racer’s family. The functionary accused the German’s relatives of lying about the athlete’s health.
In December 2013, Schumacher suffered a traumatic brain injury while skiing in the Alps. Driving off the road, he tripped over a rock and hit his head on a rock ledge. As a result of the injury, the athlete fell into a coma. Schumacher is recovering in his own villa, which is located on the shores of Lake Geneva.
