Irene Paredes, among those nominated to be part of the FIFA ’11 World Cup ‘

The Guipuzcoan defense (Legazpi) Irene Paredes, currently a member of the Barcelona squad, is among the 23 nominees to be part of the best ’11 World ‘ feminine of the FIFA Y FIFPro (International Federation of Professional Footballers).

In a prize awarded with the sole vote of players, the best world starting eleven of FIFPro and of the FIFA launches a new format in which there are only 23 candidates to be part of the final ideal team, and not 55 as on previous occasions.

FIFPro and FIFA asked professional footballers from around the world to select the three players who in their opinion were the most outstanding during the 2020/2021 season in the following positions: goalkeepers (3), defenders (6), midfielders ( 6) and front (6).

The best 11 of FIFA will be announced on January 17, 2022 during the awards ceremony The Best of FIFA and will be made up of a goalkeeper Y three defenses, three means Y front three. “The remaining seat will be assigned to the player who has not been selected in this lineup and who has obtained the highest number of votes,” explained FIFA.
