Kamila Valieva admitted that she would start a coaching career
Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva discussed the possible start of a coaching career. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“I would definitely be interested in working as a coach. I hope I can suggest something to the skaters, so I definitely wouldn’t rule out this option,” the athlete admitted.
She also spoke about the possible opening of her own school. “I don’t think that far ahead. This is not a matter of one day or even one year,” added Valieva.
At the national championship that ended in Chelyabinsk, Valieva took third place. The figure skater is the subject of a doping investigation. Traces of a prohibited drug were found in Valieva’s sample from December 2021. The final decision in the athlete’s case will be made in January 2024.
