The Russian government has redistributed regional subsidies to several healthcare programs

Changes have been made to government programs affecting the healthcare sector. They are related to regional subsidies for programs for the upcoming 2024–2025 years, writes FederalPress.

This information appeared on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.

According to the information provided, the Government decided to co-finance the expenses of the regions of the Russian Federation that arose during the implementation of regional projects related to the state program “Health Development”. Specifically, we are talking about two important federal projects: “Fighting Cancer” and “Development of Children’s Health Care”.

The oncology project is designed to strengthen the fight against cancer and help improve the quality of medical care for patients. It provides for measures to improve the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of cancer patients.

And as part of the second health project, a modern infrastructure will be created to provide quality medical care to children. This project is aimed at improving children’s health, reducing morbidity and mortality among children, as well as ensuring access to high-quality medical care for young patients.

Changes in the distribution of subsidies are designed to ensure more efficient implementation of these projects in the regions of Russia and improve healthcare at the national level. These steps emphasize the importance of priority development of the healthcare system in the country and the desire to improve the quality of medical care for the population, especially for children and patients with cancer.
