Coach of the Ukrainian national team Khristich said that the NHL will not allow actions against the Russians
The head coach of the Ukrainian national hockey team, Dmitry Khristich, explained the lack of actions against the Russians in the National Hockey League (NHL). His words are quoted by sport.nv.ua.
“The NHL is a big machine that speaks for itself. They should and should be protected from politics. I don’t know how they can create these protests and where. Just on the street, in front of whom? No!” – said the coach. He stressed that the league will not allow any political actions.
On December 6, hockey agent Dan Milstein explained the NHL’s refusal to suspend Russian athletes. The functionary connected this with the financial independence of organizations.
On February 28, 2022, the NHL management announced sanctions against Russia. The organization suspended cooperation with partners from Russia and refused to hold any competitions under its auspices in the country.
