Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka said that New York disappointed her. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The former athlete said that she did not like the garbage, dirt and abundance of homeless people in the city. “It’s all covered in smog. Feeling gray. They just don’t develop,” she said, adding that the city has changed since 1991, when she came there on vacation.
In June, Navka said that she moved to the United States in 1992 and was amazed by the clean streets and friendly residents. She later came to the American city in the 2010s with her eldest daughter. Then the athlete noticed that New York had changed for the worse.
Navka is the 2006 Olympic champion in sports dancing. She performed in pairs with Roman Kostomarov. The athlete is the wife of the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
