Russian forward of the Vegas Golen Knights Ivan Barbashev took part in a fight in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) against the Tampa Bay Lightning. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The forward’s opponent was Canadian Lightning striker Brandon Hagel. The North American stood up for teammate Anthony Cirelli, who crashed into the boards after a power move from Barbashev.
During the fight, the hockey players dropped their gloves and exchanged several precise blows to the head. The referees broke up the fight when Hagel’s helmet came off. Both participants in the fight received large fines, and the Canadian, as the instigator of the conflict, was also punished with a small fine.
