Virtus.pro team: they reacted calmly to disqualification due to Russians in the lineup
The e-sports club Virtus.pro stated that it reacted calmly and rationally to the fact that their team was removed from the tournament because of the Russians in the lineup. The athletes responded to the disqualification in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
Earlier it became known that the Virtus.pro team was suspended from the Rainbow Six Siege shooter tournament, taking place in Malta, due to its Russian origin.
“We reacted calmly and rationally to the story that happened the day before with our Rainbow Six Siege team. We are an official partner of Ubisoft, the publisher of Raibow Six Siege, and we also have a slot in the European division. The fact that one specific TO (organizer – approx. “Tapes.ru”) decided to withdraw our invite to a private event does not in any way affect our club in a broader perspective. Our R6S roster is preparing as usual for the Six Invitational, where we intend to show our best,” the club commented on the decision.
The team consists of five Russians: Pavel p4sh4 Kosenko, Dmitry Always Mitranovich, Danila dan Dontsov, Danil JoyStiCK Gabov and Arthur ShepparD Ipatov.
In addition to Rainbow Six Siege, Virtus.pro participates in tournaments for Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PUBG Mobile and Warface. In 2022, a team called Outsiders became the CS:GO world champion.
