Mikel Vesga will continue at Athletic until 2027
Mikel Vesga and the Athletic Club They have reached an agreement to extend the contract that linked both parties until June 30, 2027, for three more seasons. The midfielder, who is in his seventh season in the first team, has become a basic piece in the team, with an average of 40 official matches in each of the three previous years.
The Spaniard, who joined Lezama in 2014 to spend two seasons at Bilbao Athletic, is on his way to 200 games as a lion (189), in which he has scored nine goals. Two of them have been in the current campaign, against Real Betis, which began the comeback in San Mamés (4-2).
Champion of the 2019-20 Super Cup, Vesga signed his contract this Thursday in San Mamés in the presence of the president, Jon Uriarte, and the General Director of Football, Mikel González.
