Vladimir Bystrov said that Karpin and Cherchesov are stronger than Abaskal
Former footballer of Spartak Moscow and the Russian national team Vladimir Bystrov compared the current red-and-white coach Guillermo Abascal with Valery Karpin and Stanislav Cherchesov. RB Sport reports this.
According to the ex-player, both Russian specialists are stronger than the Spanish one. “A team can fight for the place where the team is now or for a place in the top three without a coach. Remove Abaskal, they won’t go any lower,” Bystrov said.
The former football player, who played under the leadership of both Karpin and Cherchesov, also compared the specialists with each other. “I like Karpin better. I feel more comfortable with him. He was a right midfielder and explained situations more clearly and how I should play. Although Cherchesov explained it clearly,” added Bystrov.
Abaskal will head Spartak in the summer of 2022. This season, after 18 rounds, the Muscovites occupy fifth place in the Russian Championship.
