Tarasova criticized the reaction of USADA head Tygart to the admission of Russians to the Olympic Games
Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova appreciated the reaction of the head of the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) Travis Tygart to the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympic Games (OI). Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“No words bother me at all. Moreover, this is an unprofessional opinion,” she said critically.
Earlier, Tygart condemned the admission to the Paris Olympics of Russians who did not pass the required number of doping tests. In an AP comment quoted by TASS, he called it a slap in the face for clean athletes.
On December 8, the International Olympic Committee announced the admission of Russians and Belarusians to the 2024 Games. They will be able to take part in the tournament as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will not be allowed.
