The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) imposed sanctions on the Football Federation of Ukraine (UAF) due to the racist behavior of fans during the Euro 2024 qualifying match with the Italian team. This is reported on the organization’s website.
It was decided to punish the UAF with a fine of 20 thousand euros. In addition, the stadium, which will host the next home match of the Ukrainian team, must be partially closed. Organizers are required to reduce attendance by at least 5 thousand spectators.
The match between Ukraine and Italy took place on November 20 in Germany. The meeting ended with the score 0:0.
Earlier it was reported that fans hounded the midfielder of Chelsea and the Ukrainian national football team Mikhail Mudrik because of a possible connection with the Russian model Violetta Gracheva.
