Guardiola, Spalletti and Inzaghi claim coach of the year title
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has named three candidates for the title of best coach in 2023. This is reported on the organization’s website.
The nominees included Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola, Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti and Inter Milan coach Simone Izaghi.
The Citizens, under the leadership of Guardiola, won the English Championship, the National Cup and the Champions League, the Milanese club, together with Inzaghi, became a finalist in the Champions League and won the National Cup. Until this summer, Spalletti headed Napoli, which became the champion of Italy.
The award ceremony for the best coach will take place on January 15 in London. At the end of last year, the winner of the award was the coach of the Argentina national team, Lionel Scaloni.
