Figure Skating Federation reprimands juniors for complaints about living conditions
The Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) reprimanded junior athletes who complained about living conditions at the country’s Grand Prix stages in Samara and Kazan. Match TV reports this.
“Usually with them [юниорами] and this is how “serious conversations” have been held in recent years. It is unlikely that any information will appear in the near future like from the stages in Kazan and Samara,” the publication’s source noted.
Previously, athletes who took part in the stages of the Russian Junior Grand Prix in Samara and Kazan complained about their living conditions. They published photos on social networks that showed garbage and dirt in the rooms. In addition, the skaters claimed that there were cockroaches in the rooms.
On December 13, Russian biathletes Natalya Gerbulova and Ekaterina Noskova criticized the living conditions at the second stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Ufa. In particular, the athletes complained about traces of recent renovations in the room, the lack of a curtain in the shower, a lack of toilet seats, and also pointed to an incorrectly installed faucet, from which water flowed past the sink. President of the Russian Biathlon Union Viktor Maigurov promised to look into the situation.
