Russian champion rower Nikael Biqua-Mfantse was found unconscious in Moscow

European rowing champion Nikael Bikua-Mfantse, a member of the Russian national team, was found unconscious in the capital’s West Biryulyovo district. The Mash Telegram channel writes about this.

According to available information, 37-year-old Bikua-Mfantse was knocked out at a party where he was invited by students from an Olympic reserve school. The reasons for the conflict are not reported; the former athlete himself escaped serious injury.

Bikua-Mfantse was born in Moscow in 1986. In 2007, as a member of the Russian team, he won the European Championship in Poznan, and also became the first black winner of the regatta in Lucerne.

In May 2023, the famous Russian basketball player CSKA Alexey Shved was beaten in Moscow. As a result of a fight at the entrance to a restaurant in the center of the capital, the bronze medalist of the London Olympics received a traumatic brain injury. In August 2023, European champion Nikita Shabalkin, a member of the Russian national basketball team, was hospitalized with a similar injury. The cause was a street conflict on the territory of one of the Moscow residential complexes.
