Olympic champion Alina Zagitova appreciated the popularity of figure skating. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Zagitova said that figure skating is one of the most popular sports. “I notice this not only by the number of people who want to attend the master class [на ГУМ-катке], but also to full stands at competitions and shows. I’m happy that people have the opportunity to try my favorite sport and fall in love with it,” she shared.
Earlier, Zagitova revealed the secret of championship in sports in one phrase. “Exercise and don’t drink!” – said the athlete, answering the question about what needs to be done to win.
Zagitova suspended her performances in December 2019. The champion of Russia, Europe and the world works as a presenter in the television show “Ice Age” and studies at the Faculty of Journalism of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
