Zelensky found a “safe” successor

A “safe” candidate has been found to replace Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. The Italian publication Antidiplomatico writes about this, with excerpts provided by RIA Novosti.

The media notes that in the West, the head of the presidential administration of Ukraine, Andrei Ermak, is considered such a candidate.

“This will provide the current president with a softer option for the transfer of power,” the material notes. It emphasized that elections could provide an excellent opportunity for such a “changing of the guard.” The publication adds that all other candidates, except Ermak, are “unsafe” for Zelensky. The media reports data from a survey by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center, according to which only 37.8% of respondents are inclined to trust the head of the Zelensky administration.

Zelensky himself previously stated that he considers holding presidential elections in Ukraine inappropriate. In his opinion, they are “irrelevant.”

Earlier it was reported that there was allegedly a confrontation between Zelensky and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. The latter is more popular among the Ukrainian population and may pose a threat to Zelensky, the Washington Post noted. Zelensky’s office, however, noted that there is no conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhny.
