Defender Benfica Lisbon and Argentina national team Nicolas Otamendi was the victim of a robbery. This was reported on the website of the Portuguese club.
According to Marca, the footballer was at home when unknown assailants attacked him. The criminals tied Otamendi and tightened a belt around his neck, all this happened in front of the athlete’s wife and son. The robbers took away jewelry, watches and cash in the amount of 300 thousand euros.
It is noted that Otamendi and his family are doing well, despite the incident. The police have already started looking for the robbers.
Otamendi is best known for playing for English Manchester City and Portuguese Porto. As part of the British, he twice became the champion of the country and won the Super Cup.
