Grandmaster Karjakin: the thirst for profit got the better of Kasparov
Over chess player Garry Kasparov (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) the thirst for profit took over. Russian grandmaster Sergei Karyakin shared this opinion in a conversation with Tsargrad.
According to him, Kasparov the politician, who supports the enemies of Russia, has nothing in common with Kasparov the chess player. “As wonderful a chess player as he was (…), he took a militant position against his country in life,” said Karjakin.
The grandmaster said that Kasparov is no longer paid for chess achievements, but for “anti-Russian lectures.” Karyakin emphasized that this is unacceptable for him personally.
Earlier, entrepreneur and inventor Elon Musk called Kasparov an idiot. This is how he responded to the words of the chess player, who called on those who “sit in their comfortable mansions in Silicon Valley not to give advice to Kyiv.” Musk responded that while Kasparov is “almost as good at chess as his iPhone, he’s an idiot otherwise.”
