The last time in Marcin Klaczek’s career (12-7) was not successful. The 32-year-old lost the last two fights in the KSW federation. In March 2019, during the KSW 47 gala, he lost to Marcin Wrzosek by unanimous decision of the judges. In April this year, at the KSW 60 gala, Klaczek lost by knockout to Vojto Barborika.
Currently, Klaczek is in Florida, where he trains at the American Top Team club together with Mateusz Gamrot and Borys Mańkowski. The first of them, during the Monday live broadcast, revealed that despite not the best period in his career, Klaczek received a very interesting offer.
The Polish federation Chabiba Nurmagomiedowa – EFC was to be interested in. The filly was even supposed to receive a fight offer. Our player’s rival would be Renan Barao. He is the former champion of the largest federation in the world – UFC – in bantamweight scales.
Will the Pole fight the former UFC champion?
Barao won the belt in July 2012 after defeating Urijah Faber. The 34-year-old Brazilian has successfully defended his belt three times. Barao defeated successively Michael McDonald, Eddie Wineland and Faber in the rematch. The Brazilian lost the title in May 2014 after defeating TJ Dillashaw.
The rematch between the players took place in July 2015 and Barao again failed to cope with his rival. In the first fight, the Brazilian lost by knockout in the fifth round, in the rematch it happened earlier.
EFC, a federation that would like to lead to a fight between Barao and Klaczek, belongs to Nurmagomiedów. The Russian is a former UFC lightweight champion. Welu Nurmagomiedov is considered the best competitor in history without any division into weight categories. The Russian did not lose any fight in his career, and he ended his career in October last year after a spectacular win with Justin Gaethje.
The details of a possible clash between Filly and Barao are not yet known. The Pole is currently preparing for the next fight in the KSW.
