In almost two weeks (December 28), qualifications for the first competition are scheduled. Controversial anti-covid regulations may make it difficult to allow all foreign jumpers to compete.
The local authorities there have announced that it will be possible to take part in the tournament only if the jumper has a negative result of the PCR test made in Bavaria on December 27, i.e. one day before the start of the qualification for the first TCS.
“The organizers in Oberstdorf, together with the local authorities in Germany, have a different procedure in the guidelines for Oberstdorf and the 4-Hills-Tournament”, informed the International Ski Federation.

We are vaccinated, every weekend the FIS requires us to test negative in order to receive our accreditation, and now the organizer has made up his mind to provide a German test result. How is he different? He’s probably from China, like all the others … For me, that’s punching. Probably from here they have the money to raise the financial prize for the winner of the Golden Eagle – said Małysz.

And he added: – It is very unfair if someone says that only on the basis of German tests you can start competing. We will definitely investigate this situation and act, because it’s not fair!
