UFC chief White said Umar Nurmagomedov could fight Corey Sandhagen

Umar Nurmagomedov, the cousin of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, may fight with American Corey Sandhagen. The president of the promotion, Dana White, spoke about the new opponent of the undefeated Russian on the Full Send podcast.

The fight between Nurmagomedov and Sandhagen could headline the UFC Fight Night tournament on February 11. The event will take place in Las Vegas (USA).

Nurmagomedov has won four fights in a row in the UFC. His last fight took place in January 2023, when the 27-year-old athlete knocked out Brazilian Raoni Barcelos in the first round. In total, the Russian has 16 victories and not a single defeat in his career.

Sandhagen is a former UFC interim bantamweight title challenger. He is on a streak of three wins in a row. In total, the American won 17 fights in professional MMA, losing four times.

Nurmagomedov and Sandhagen were supposed to fight in August of this year. The fight failed due to an injury, for which the Russian underwent surgery.
