“Spartak” devastatingly lost to “Sochi” in the RPL

Moscow “Spartak” lost in the away match against “Sochi” in the 18th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.

The match took place in Sochi. In the 28th minute of the confrontation, the hosts’ Ecuadorian midfielder Christian Noboa opened the score. He converted the penalty. In the 66th minute of the match, he left his team with ten men, receiving a red card. The red and white failed to equalize, despite the numerical advantage. At the end of the match, Spartak missed again: Ivelin Popov scored an accurate shot. In added time, the Sochi residents made the score devastating. Artur Yusupov distinguished himself. The final result was the defeat of Spartak with a score of 0: 3.

Earlier, the fans of the red and whites expressed their hope that the current coach of Spartak Rui Vitoria will be able to change the situation for the team in the RPL and achieve medals at the end of the season. They turned to the owner of the club, Leonid Fedun, with a request not to change their mentor. Fans are concerned about the appearance in the media of publications about the imminent coming to the post of head coach of the Italian Paolo Vanoli.

Sochi is going on a break in the status of one of the leaders of the Russian championship. The team occupies the third place in the standings after 18 rounds.
