A foreign Zenit football player spoke about unjustified stereotypes about Russia

Zenit footballer Izidor said that his stereotypes about Russia were not true

French striker of St. Petersburg Zenit Wilson Isidore spoke about unjustified stereotypes about Russia. His words are quoted by Match TV.

“From France it seems that Russia is very far away, that it is a very cold country, and people here smile little and are constantly sullen,” said the foreign football player. He emphasized that in fact wonderful people live in Russia, and the cold is tolerable.

On July 27, Izidor spoke about the benefits of Russian swearing. The athlete noted that in Russia many people often use obscene language, and this helps him during matches.

Izidor moved to Lokomotiv Moscow in 2022. On September 3, 2023, he voluntarily left the team and went to France, where, without notifying Muscovites, he underwent a medical examination at one of the clubs. Later Izidor moved to Zenit. The forward will play for the blue-white-sky blues on loan until the end of the 2023/2024 season.
