Krasnodar footballer Cordoba tried to break into the referee’s room after the RPL match
Krasnodar forward John Cordoba tried to break into the referees’ locker room in the tribune room after the 16th round match of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Ural. Match TV reports this.
According to the source, the football player wanted to find out why he was sent off. He communicated with the judges in a raised tone, but without insults. Employees of the Ural club did not allow Cordoba to get into the referee’s room, which is why the dialogue continued in the corridor. After persuasion from representatives of both clubs, the forward went to the locker room.
On November 26, Krasnodar lost away to Ural with a score of 1:3. Due to the defeat, the team lost its leadership in the Russian championship.
Cordoba moved to Krasnodar in the summer of 2021. He suspended his contract with the club after the start of a special operation in Ukraine, but returned to Russia in the summer of 2022. He is currently the RPL’s top scorer with eight goals.
