IDK Euskotren wins against Kutxabank Araski 58-71 in the Basque derby of the Endesa League

IDK Euskotren claimed victory against Kutxabank Araski by 58-71 on Saturday, November 25 in Mendizorroza (Vitoria-Gasteiz), in the basque derby of the 9th day of the Endesa League.
The Vitoria-Gasteiz team entered the match well and achieved an eight-point lead (11-3). However, the response from the Gipuzkoa team was immediate and thanks to that reaction they put the score at 13-13. In the final stretch of the first quarter equality reigned and the locals managed to finish the initial ten minutes with a favorable result of 20-18.
The second quarter went along the same path as the final minutes of the first. Neither team was able to open the gap, although in the final stretch the IDK Euskotren gained a six-point advantage (30-36) with which he arrived at rest.
After the restart, the visiting team opened the gap and reached the halfway mark of the third quarter with a 10-point lead (37-47). Little by little, the locals were filing their disadvantage. The match entered the final quarter with a score of 48-54.
In the final ten minutes, the visitors were superior. Kutxabank Araski could not contain the rival’s attacks and IDK Euskotren left the victory on track with four minutes remaining (50-63). The locals could not react and the victory belonged to the San Sebastián team (58-71).
