Mike Tyson called Usik’s advantage over Fury

Boxer Mike Tyson said that Fury will have a hard time with the small and fast Usyk

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson called the advantage of Ukrainian Oleksandr Usik over Briton Tyson Fury. His words are quoted by Boxing Social.

“The little guys are hard to fight because they’re hard to hit. Usyk runs around the ring a lot, moves a lot,” Tyson said. In his opinion, Fury will need a few rounds to get used to this, since Usyk is small and fast.

On October 29, promoter Frank Warren announced that the fight with Usyk would be postponed to 2024 because Fury would not be ready to enter the ring in December 2023. A day earlier, the Briton was stronger than former champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship Francis Ngannou in a fight according to boxing rules.

Usik has 21 victories in 21 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.

Fury has 33 wins, one draw and no losses. He holds the World Boxing Council heavyweight championship belt.
