While defending champions Chelsea face Lille, Manchester City face Villareal. Real Madrid, the biggest champion of the competition with 13 trophies, duels with Benfica de Jorge Jesus.
The 16 teams classified to the round of 16 were divided into two pots. The top finishers were in pot 1, while the runners-up were in pot 2.
The teams within pot 1 will have the right to decide the round of 16 playing at home. It is also worth remembering that there is no longer a goal away from home rule.
In the draw, there were only two restrictions: teams that were in the same group in the first phase and clubs from the same country could not fight each other.
The first games are scheduled for the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of February. The return ones are for the 8th, 9, 15th and 16th of March.
