The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation will conduct an investigation into gymnast Vlada Nikolchenko after making critical statements about Poland. This was reported on the organization’s Instagram page. “The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation reports that disciplinary proceedings have been initiated based on statements by gymnast Vlada Nikolchenko,” the organization noted. However, no other details are provided.

On November 21, Nikolchenko spoke about hatred of Poland and the Poles. “They ruined my mood in the morning. I hate this country with all my heart, and most of all, the people living here,” said the 20-year-old athlete, who was conducting a master class in Warsaw.

The athlete later apologized for her words. She called the incident a psychological breakdown and admitted that she regrets what she said.
