Diniyar Bilyaletdinov said that no one needs Russian football players in Europe
Euro 2008 bronze medalist as part of the Russian national team Diniyar Bilyaletdinov appreciated the departure of domestic football players abroad. His words are quoted by RB Sport.
According to Bilyaletdinov, Russians are not needed in Europe and no one is waiting for them. “Do your job here, earn a reputation for the country, and then do what you want. The starting positions should still be in Russia, the country should be in the heart. Here today you are raised, coaches, parents put in their efforts – give them credit,” he said.
On November 14, former defender of the Russian national team and CSKA Moscow Vasily Berezutsky called on Russian athletes to leave the country. He stated that if athletes want to achieve something at a high level, they should try themselves abroad.
At the moment, several Russian football players are playing in European championships. Among the most famous are Alexander Golovin, who represents Monaco, and Alexey Miranchuk, who plays for the Italian Atalanta. Daler Kuzyaev plays for the French Le Havre, Arsen Zakharyan plays for the Spanish Real Sociedad. Alexander Kokorin from the Italian Fiorentina is on loan at the Cypriot Aris.
