Educational center promotes the practice of sport and study among selected Guayas who are in their classrooms.
The rector of the Fedeguayas Educational Unit and former head of the Technical Methodological Department of the Guayas Sports Federation (FDG), Roberto Rojas, highlighted the successes achieved by the students of that institution as selected from Guayas and part of the delegation from Ecuador that competed in the Junior Pan American Games Cali-Valle 2021.
“Part of this serious, planned and permanently evaluated work are the current medalists of the Pan American Sports Games in Colombia such as Bella Paredes Arreaga, Mell Mina Ayoví, César López Chávez and Diego Piguave Baldeón”, highlighted the head of the educational entity.
Paredes was a gold medal in Weightlifting, in Cali; is classified to XIX Absolute Pan American Sports Games Santiago 2023; won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at the World Junior Championships, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, held from May 21 to 28, 2021; She is triple South American U-17 champion, of the tournament held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2019.
For her part, Mina graduated from the III promotion of high school graduates with the title Promoter in Recreation and Sports, in the 2019-2020 school year. He was a bronze medalist in the taekwondo competitions of the Cali Games; He obtained the gold medal at the Open de Querétaro – Mexico, in 2020; was a gold medal at the 2019 World Taekwondo Ambassador Cup Championships, in Muju – Korea.
López is studying in his third year of high school and was a bronze medalist in artistic gymnastics of the Cali Games; while Piguave is in the second year of technical high school and at the Cali Games he reached the bronze medal in men’s doubles of the table tennis; he was champion of the WTT Youth Contender, category U-19, held this year in Cuenca.
Beginnings of the educational unit

The academic highlights that, as selected from Guayas, the students from the UE Fedeguayas “have participated in official national competitions such as the National Sports Games Cadets, Prejuveniles, Juveniles and under-23; with extraordinary results such as the contribution of 28.77% to the general score of the province in the National Games for Minors, Cuenca 2017″.
Of the medals that Guayas obtained in the IX National Youth Sports Games Guayas 2017, the students of the Educational Unit contributed 23.70% of those medals.
