Honored coach Tatyana Tarasova said that she has nothing to do in the State Duma
Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova answered a question about working in the State Duma. She is quoted by Sport24.
“Why have I never worked or gone to the State Duma? I have nothing to do there. I’m not the person who should sit there, I need to work in my profession,” Tarasova said. She noted that this requires a desire to work for the state.
Tarasova also appreciated the work of other athletes in the State Duma. According to the specialist, she does not feel it. “The result is the same: our athletes and Olympic champions live meagerly and do not enjoy any benefits,” Tarasova concluded.
The State Duma of the eighth convocation includes a number of titled domestic athletes. Among them is three-time Olympic figure skating champion Irina Rodnina.
