After being knocked out of the Champions League last Wednesday, the Barcelona returned to the field, this Sunday, and drew 2-2 against Osasuna, away from home, for the 17th round of the spanish championship.
The visitors took the lead 12 minutes into the first half, with a goal by Nico González. However, Barça took the tie two minutes later, with a header by David García. The nets only returned to swing in the second half. Ezzalzouli, in a beautiful volley kick, at four, put the culés in front again. However, Avila scored, at 41, and set the tie.
Barcelona, with 24 points, is in eighth place in the championship. On the other side of the match, Osasuna goes to 10th position.
Next Tuesday, Xavi’s men will face Boca Juniors, from Argentina, in a friendly match. Osasuna returns to the field on Thursday, when they face La Coruña, in the Copa del Rey.
Villarreal wins at home
In another match of the round, Villarreal, who are having a bad championship, defeated Rayo Vallecano by 2-0, with goals from Mandi and Gerard Moreno. The Yellow Submarine occupies the 13th position, while the Vallecano is in sixth place.
