Ukrainian fisherman Bilan escaped from the World Championships in Italy due to two subpoenas

Member of the Ukrainian national team Artur Bilan ran away after competing at the World Street Fishing Championships in Italy. Channel 24 reports this with reference to the post of the captain of the Ukrainian team Daniil Lyasov on Facebook. (banned in Russia; owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

Lyasov published a screenshot of correspondence with Bilan, who left the team before returning from the competition to his homeland. “This is a common family decision. The wife does not want to live in constant stress. And we have a small child who needs to go to kindergarten and school and not hear explosions,” Bilan explained his action, adding that he had already received two summonses.

Bilan is the 2021 world champion in spinning fishing from the shore.

On October 13, it became known that Ukrainian football player Alexander Rasputko disappeared at the airport after a UEFA Youth League match in Belgium on October 4. It was reported that the football player born in Gorlovka (DPR) could leave the team due to his pro-Russian position, which led to conflicts with teammates.
