The former SLD candidate for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland, right after the vote in the Sejm, hosted another episode of the journalistic program “W Tye Vision”. Together with right-wing journalist Stanisław Janecki, the journalists discussed, among other things, the topic of the new Speaker of the Sejm. Cucumber does not hide its concerns about the choice.
Magdalena Ogórek commented on the election of Szymon Hołownia as Speaker of the Sejm
“I would like to be objective,” the presenter began talking about Hołownia. Ogórek noted that she sees that the politician understands the responsibility of his task and the importance of “the honor he has received.” However, there was a “but”. The presenter is “afraid” that because of Hołownia in the Sejm “there will be tabloid and tiktok news”.
“We meet in a bakery, he is a nice man privately. However, I have the impression that he plays a role. This is showmanship for the benefit of the Sejm. Maybe I will be surprised, I don’t know, but for now I look at it with great distance. I envy Szymon Hołownia “that he didn’t have it, like I did in 2015,” laments the host of “W back of the vision,” referring to her political career.
“Soon we will be sitting here wearing these T-shirts with the inscription ‘Constitution'”
Additionally, the journalist expressed her fear of the Sejm’s compliance with the Constitutional order. “It will come to a point that Staszek and I will actually be sitting in these T-shirts with the inscription ‘Constitution'” – declared Ogórek, referring to Lech Wałęsa’s clothes.
The program also included commentary on TVN. The host referred, among other things, to a conversation about Szymon Hołownia on TVN 24. “Ms. Dominika Wielowieyska sat on commercial television today and said that the fact that Hołownia is a man who comes from a talent show and this ennobles him as the Speaker of the Sejm” – Ogórek pointed out. The co-host immediately responded and asked if her acting cameos also helped the campaign.
The host firmly denied it. “I was 35 years old then, I had fulfilled my constitutional obligation, I was considered a well-educated person, and Mr. Szymon Hołownia had a high school leaving exam,” Ogórek summed up the new marshal.
