Orenburg player Lucas Vera said that Russia is safer than Argentina
Football player of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Orenburg club Lucas Vera assessed the level of security in Russia. His words are quoted by TASS.
“Of course, many things in Russia differ from Argentina, but here I live comfortably and calmly. The main difference is safety, everything is related to this. In Argentina, you can’t go out after 20:00,” he said. The legionary added that he has not yet begun the process of obtaining Russian citizenship.
On July 30, Vera explained his desire to obtain Russian citizenship. The footballer said that this would help him be in the Russian national team, as well as pay less taxes.
Vera has been playing for Orenburg since the summer of 2022. He never played for the Argentina national team. In 14 RPL matches of the 2023/2024 season, the Argentine scored one goal and registered two assists.
