Tarasova explained the results of figure skater Valieva at the Grand Prix stage with pressure
Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova explained the results of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva at the Russian Grand Prix stage in Kazan. Her words are quoted by Sport24.
“There’s a lot of pressure, a lot of news from all sides, it’s hard for her to bear. Kamila’s performance was very uncertain, one of the worst,” Tarasova said. She drew attention to the fact that Valieva made many mistakes and made a technical error, because of which she was not counted for an element.
On November 12, Valieva took fourth place at the Grand Prix in Kazan, scoring 213.59 points. She fell on a quadruple sheepskin coat. Valieva showed her worst result at tournaments since 2019. The winner of the Grand Prix stage was Sofya Muravyova, who had 228.81 points.
On November 10, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) completed hearings on Valieva’s case. Traces of a prohibited drug were found in the skater’s sample from December 2021.
