The Odintsovo District Court sentenced former Kazan Zenit volleyball player Alexander Khripun in a fraud case. This was reported by Moskovsky Komsomolets.

According to the source, the athlete was sentenced to two years and two months in a general regime colony. It is noted that Khripun’s case under the article “Extortion” was reclassified into an article about fraud on an especially large scale.

Khripun was detained in the Moscow region on July 4, 2022. The athlete deceived a 23-year-old Russian woman out of 30 million rubles. The victim sent money to the extortionist in exchange for him not publishing intimate photographs of her. It is noted that the girl was left almost without all her savings.

24-year-old Khripun played in the diagonal position. He was in the Zenit system, but did not play in the Russian Super League.
